Hello everyone! This site is for friends, family and anybody interested in following along as I make my attempt at the journey from Mexico to Canada along the Pacific Crest Trail.
I never feel more at home or at peace than when I am out hiking in the middle of nowhere, whether it's the canyons and ridges of the San Gabriel Mountains, or exploring old mining sites in my local Southern Ca high desert.
For a lot of hikers, completing a thru hike of a continental trail is the ultimate accomplishment. For me it's more than that. It's both a dream and a challenge, a true test of self reliance. I am thankful for the opportunity to go, and I'm not going to waste it. Feel free to come along and follow me on my misadventures as I attempt my first thru hike from Campo, CA to Manning Park, British Columbia!
